JustWare organizes all of a case’s related information—including charges, pleas, case notes, witnesses, involved agencies, contact information, documents, court dates, and more—in one place. JustWare enables you to easily store and quickly retrieve any case- or name-related data and documents through its use of enter-it-once efficiency, one-screen view, dashboards, name and case screens, case-to-case linking, virtual filing cabinet, and correspondence tracking.
Enter-it-once efficiency
JustWare’s central name/party table reduces duplicate entry by allowing you to enter the information once and then reference and link that information to events, judgments and sentences, docket entries, documents and forms, correspondence entries, cases/matters, and more. Each person, organization, or agency with which your office interacts may have various roles, including defendant, alias, expert witness, plaintiff, respondent, public defender, law enforcement officer, or any combination.
JustWare’s central table design is particularly valuable for your victim/witness staff, as it lets you immediately know how the witnesses are connected to a specific case, what documentation and forms they have received, and what actions should be taken next. It lets you record the correspondence and case-specific events that you initiate. The central name/party database ensures that if individuals are contacts in one case and later become witnesses for other crimes, their names and contact information are still in the database and can be associated with an unlimited number of cases.
One-screen views
JustWare’s user-friendly design allows you to view all of your critical case or name information on one screen, rather than having to migrate back and forth between numerous screens. On a single screen you can see all associated parties, relevant documents, events, judgments, conditions, notes, and more.
Name and case screens
JustWare has been set up to enable you to track any of your important name and case information. For example, JustWare’s name screens track unlimited amounts and types of physical characteristics, identification numbers, contact information, primary and secondary relationships, unique attributes (e.g., “in custody,” “requires translator,” “gang affiliation,” “investigation pending,” or any others you wish to set up), events, tasks, files, notes, financial information, and more.
JustWare’s case screens track all agencies and involved parties, charge attributes, locations, intoxicants/drugs, charge history, judgments, sentencing information, correspondence, visits, hearings, custody, bail information, and much more.
JustWare’s screens use the terminologies and track the information frequently requested by the numerous other courts with which we have worked. As no two courts function exactly the same, however, we have created JustWare to be extremely flexible, enabling you to rename any table or field names to better accommodate processes within your court. This flexibility enables JustWare to function equally well for criminal, civil, juvenile, or other specialty case types. It also enables JustWare to function well for multi-court/division or statewide implementations involving all or a combination of these case types.
JustWare will visually alert you and your staff of any important information regarding any of your people or cases. You can set up an unlimited number of attributes (e.g., “needs interpreter,” “in custody,” “investigation pending”) and specify which of them should appear as a pop-up when attorneys or staff members open a case.
Dashboards
JustWare “dashboards” provide one of the most innovative case management benefits—court-defined and personalized information for administrators and staff on one screen. You can have several different dashboards created and customized based on user, location, division, court, staff type, and team/unit. The key reporting areas for your court are automatically displayed on your JustWare dashboards, providing users with a powerful messaging center. Key displays—including My Active Cases, My Tasks, My Calendar, My New Cases, and much more—are graphically displayed and hyperlinked for easy viewing and access.
Virtual filing cabinet
You can store all client and case-related files in JustWare’s integrated electronic document management system (EDMS), or “virtual filing cabinet.” You can store any type of file in JustWare’s virtual filing cabinet, including images, audio, video, email, templates, xml, text, and other files. You can also scan files directly into JustWare’s virtual filing cabinet and afterward search on content inside the documents. Files stored in JustWare’s virtual filing cabinet are accessible from any computer through JustWare–never again will you need to search individual computers for documents and other key files.
Correspondence & communication tracking
JustWare will track all of you correspondence, including phone calls, faxes, in-and out-of-office visits, incoming and outgoing emails, and more. For each piece of correspondence you can link involved parties. All of this information is readily available for reporting, grant, and auditable accountability purposes.
